Simpson United Methodist Church is a multicultural congregation rooted deeply in the Japanese American culture and experience. We strive to reach out to all people in the belief that diversity is a strength. As such, today, our membership is a rainbow of ages, genders, cultures, and experiences.

Simpson Hina Matsuri Doll and Cultural Festival

Join us for the 56th Annual Hina Matsuri Doll & Cultural Festival at Simpson United Methodist Church as we celebrate the 119th anniversary of our congregation.

Hina Matsuri will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Come enjoy a weekend of Japanese cultural activities and demonstrations, including origami, tea ceremony, bonsai, ikebana, taiko drums, martial arts, and Japanese music and dance. Crafts will also be available for purchase.

Food will be available, including bento boxes and other Japanese treats. We encourage you to arrive early, as bento boxes often sell out.
