A unique ministry of Simpson is hosting cultural and special events that explore Japanese American and Asian American culture. Annually, Simpson hosts:
- Hina Matsuri (first weekend of March) – Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival) is a festive occasion to experience and learn more about Japanese American culture.
- Keiro No Hi (Grandparents Day or first Sunday after Labor Day) – At Simpson, Keiro No Hi (Respect for Elders Day) is celebrated on Grandparents Day with a special potluck lunch.
- Arts and Crafts Showcase (October) – This event is an opportunity to purchase handcrafted items, holiday gifts, jewelry, ceramics, and Japanese treats made by members of Simpson, their families, and members of the Japanese American community.
- Mochi Making (first weekend of December) – In preparation for New Year’s Day, the Simpson community comes together to make some of the best mochi in the Denver metro area.
